Natural HealthCare Services Back To School Wellness

Back to School Wellness in Pittsburgh: Natural Healthcare Services for the Whole Family

It doesn’t take long for things to get busy once school starts again.

One week you’re still in summer mode. Next you’re packing lunches in the morning, sitting in the school pickup line, driving to practice after work and trying to figure out what everyone is going to eat when you finally get home.

And if you have more than one child involved in sports or activities, the calendar can get pretty interesting.

At Natural HealthCare Services in Freeport, PA, we’ve been working with individuals and families in the area for more than 30 years. This time of year is a good reminder that while you’re getting everyone else back into their routines, you need to make a little time for yourself too.

That’s where the different services we offer can come in.

For a lot of people, chiropractic care is what first brings them through our door.

The school year can mean more time in the car, more sitting and a lot of running from one place to another. You might spend

Friday night sitting on bleachers at a football game, Saturday morning in a folding chair at a soccer field and a good part of the week driving everyone where they need to be.

Dr. Gregg Brady has been practicing chiropractic care for more than 40 years and works with adults, adolescents and children. He uses different chiropractic techniques depending on the person rather than approaching every visit exactly the same way.

Chiropractic care is only part of what we do, though.

We also offer myofascial therapy, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy and range-of-motion work.

You don’t need to know the difference between all of them before you call us. Most people don’t.

Maybe you’ve been noticing some tightness after sitting all day. Maybe you’re not moving quite as comfortably as you used to.

Or maybe you’ve heard about one of these therapies and simply want to know more about it.

That’s a conversation we can have.

Craniosacral therapy is another option available here. It uses a gentle, hands-on approach involving the head, spine and sacrum and is quite different from a traditional chiropractic adjustment.

Karen also offers reflexology, which involves applying pressure to specific areas of the feet. She’s a certified and registered reflexologist and has worked with natural health therapies for many years.

We also provide neuropathic lymphatic drainage, a specialized hands-on technique involving the body’s lymphatic system.

Then there’s colon hydrotherapy.

It’s one of those services that people are often curious about but sometimes hesitate to ask about. There’s no reason to feel awkward asking questions.

Karen is a nationally certified Colon Hydrotherapy Instructor and has years of experience providing the service. If you’ve been wondering what colon hydrotherapy is, what happens during an appointment or whether it’s something you want to consider, give us a call and ask. We’d much rather explain it than have you trying to piece together information from a dozen different places online.

Nutritional guidance is available here as well.

This is another area where the school year can change things without you really noticing at first.

Maybe breakfast becomes coffee on the way out the door. Dinner gets pushed back because practice ran late. You get home at 8:00 and suddenly whatever is quickest sounds pretty good.

It happens.

Karen has a Ph.D. in Nutrition/Herbal studies and works individually with people who want guidance with their nutrition rather than simply handing everybody the same plan.

Over the years, we’ve had people come to us for all kinds of reasons.

Some know exactly what service they’re interested in. Others call because they aren’t sure where to start.

Both are fine.

You can come in for chiropractic care without signing up for everything else we offer. You can ask about reflexology without knowing anything about craniosacral therapy. And if you’re curious about colon hydrotherapy, nutritional guidance, lymphatic drainage or one of our other therapies, you can simply call and ask about it.

That’s part of why we’ve continued offering a variety of natural healthcare services under one roof.

Back to school season tends to revolve around the kids, and that’s understandable. There are school supplies to buy, schedules to figure out, practices to get to and plenty of things that need your attention.

Just don’t go the entire fall without giving yourself some of that attention too.

If you’d like to learn more about any of our services, give Natural HealthCare Services a call. We’re right here in Freeport and we’ll be happy to talk with you.
